FISHER/UNITECH: New uPrint Rapid Prototyping Machine from Stratasys

How to make a 3D object from a 2D drawing/picture?
I saw at http://www.youtube.com/harrypotter “3D experience”.
You just print out the cauldron 2D drawing and when your camera recognizes it, it shows 3D cauldron.
That totally impressed me!
I was looking on internet for some informations.. but nothing.
So, can someone please help me? Link me some source of informations or something like that?
Thanks. -Truba.

Can you print in 3D the topography you get from google earth?
Like engineers using rapid prototyping technologies to quickly print a 3D designed part (using, say, stereolithography). Would be cool to have a whole region with its mountains in 3D laying on your desk ![]()
